The first ever T.G.I. Friday’s Bartender Challenge is going to be held tomorrow, 1st September 2004 at T.G.I. Friday’s in Sliema. Starting from late afternoon, three T.G.I. Friday’s bartenders will compete against each other and the winner will represent T.G.I. Friday’s, Malta in the Regional Bartender Challenge to be hosted by T.G.I. Friday’s in Malta, next November.

Bartenders will be assessed on bar-flaring, pouring of wine, beer and spirits, fruit and mixes sensitivity, wine bottle opening, drinks recipes and suggestive selling, food knowledge, and speed of service. Two judges will be scrutinizing their performance, and only the best bartender with the least mistakes will make it to the top prize.

The bartender competition, the first of its kind to be organized at T.G.I. Friday’s, is open to the general public.
