Pizza Hut announces sponsorship of Valletta F.C. 11/19/2004

- offers a free slice of pizza to all Valletta F.C. supporters if Valletta F.C. wins the Premier League

Pizza Hut, Malta has just finalised a sponsorship agreement with Valletta F.C. for the coming season 2004/05. The agreement will feature Pizza Hut as one of their main sponsors for their Premier League team, with the familiar logo on the back of the football gears.

Stefania Conte, General Manager at Food Chain (Holdings) Ltd., operators of Pizza Hut in Malta, commented, “We are delighted to be associated with one of the best football teams in Malta. Pizza Hut is a top international franchise and the Malta story of this franchise has been a success from day one. It is only natural now for us to support a prestigious team like Valletta F.C. who has won several honours.”

“Incidentally, since the players have started wearing the new kits, Valletta has won all their matches – so far, so good!” added Ms Conte.

During the official presentation of the sponsorship, Marco Debono, Marketing Executive for Pizza Hut and Charles Camilleri, President of Valletta F.C. both expressed their satisfaction at the fact that such an agreement has been reached, and augured well for a successful year with the right dose of sport spirit.

Mr Debono said that this agreement falls perfectly in line with various initiatives taken by Food Chain (Holdings) Ltd. over the last couple of years in support to a mix of sports in Malta, from rugby to waterpolo, and lately football.

Pizza Hut, Malta has also decided to do its part to support the team, by offering to give ALL Valletta F.C. supporters a FREE slice of pizza if the team wins the Premier League 2004/05.

“We hope that through our efforts, the supporters respond well by attending the matches to support the team. Hopefully, the enthusiasm will result in Valletta F.C. winning this year’s title,” added Ms Conte.
