Malta’s leading band Winter Moods is opening the 29th edition of The Farsons Great Beer Festival today at Ta’ Qali Park. Following lead singer, Ivan Grech’s participation in the Michael Bolton and Joseph Calleja concert on Sunday, the band Winter Moods will be entertaining fans with their most loved tunes tonight.

Over fifty live performances will be presented during this ten-day open air festival free of charge and free parking.  Sponsored by Vodafone Malta Limited, Peugeot and Banif Bank, The Farsons Great Beer Festival is guaranteed to offer good value to all festival goers.

“Apart from celebrating the traditional Maltese brews, The Farsons Great Beer Festival continues to offer patrons some of Malta’s top artists and best entertainment. Tonight’s participation of Winter Moods will surely enthral our audiences,” said Ivan Filletti, Field Marketing Manager at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.

Winter Moods will be preceded by Corazon and Traffic Daze on the Main Stage. The Rock Stage, hosted by 89.7 Bay, opens with Kristina Casolani unplugged, followed by Shiloos Tree and Red Electrick will close the evening.

“The Farsons Great Beer Festival is also serving as a platform for young budding musicians and singers to fulfil their dreams and expose their talent to a large audience,” continued Mr Filletti.  “This year we have engaged new faces as well as new talent to provide a different repertoire of music to appeal to all ages and preferences.”

The main attraction of The Farsons Great Beer Festival always remains the selection of Farsons beer brands and a great choice of international brands including Cisk Export, Budweiser, Carlsberg, Guinness, Kilkenny, John Smith’s, Beck’s and Corona. Cisk XS and Farsons Strong Ale, which are brewed exclusively for export, are also available.

Adult visitors have the opportunity to sample Farsons brands from Cisk Lager and the low-carbohydrate Cisk Excel to classic brews such as Hopleaf and Blue Label, which have been brewed with passion since 1928.  Visitors can also purchase the official festival mug from any of the bars or the souvenir stall.
