Celebrating the inauguration of the fourth Burger King Restaurant at MIA.
Situated within the new food court area at Level -1, the new Burger King® restaurant at the Malta International Airport (MIA) marks the fourth opening since the global food franchise brand entered the Maltese market in 1995. Located at the airport terminal, in the centre of the main building, the restaurant is accessible from both the Departures and Arrivals lounge areas.
Open everyday, the new Burger King® restaurant offers all the favourite menu products, from world-famous flame-grilled burgers such as the Whopper® sandwich, to a selection of delicious salads, desserts, cold and hot drinks, in a relaxed ambience, whilst providing a unique dining experience to customers. The opening hours are 11am to 2am from Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and 11am to 4am on Friday and Saturday. These opening hours are subject to change without prior notice. Free Wi-Fi service is available to all patrons.
To mark the occasion, a celebratory gathering was held on 10th December 2008 at the new outlet which was attended by several distinguished guests.
Speaking during the opening, Mr Louis A Farrugia, Director of Food Chain (Holdings) Limited, and licensed franchisee of Burger King® for Malta, said, “We are delighted with this latest opening at MIA. The Burger King® brand will surely bring excitement to the new development taking place within the airport terminal.” He expressed his gratitude towards the MIA management team for their support.
Mr Farrugia also thanked the Food Chain (Holdings) Limited management team, led by Ms Stefania Conte, for leading with enthusiasm and creating the right investment opportunities for all stakeholders to invest in and reap the benefits, notwithstanding the tough market within which they operate.
The opening of the Burger King® restaurant at the MIA also coincides with the introduction of Kinnie and PepsiCo brands portfolio in Burger King® restaurants in Malta. Throughout the festive season, all Burger King® restaurants in Malta, in collaboration with Pepsi, will be upgrading any soft drink purchased with any meal at no extra charge. “When the world is going through tough times, we are still finding ways to continue offering added value to our customers,” said Ms Stefania Conte, General Manager – Food Chain (Holdings) Limited.
In addition, on presentation of parking ticket, customers will be given a €1 discount on their bill for parking with every €10 and over spent, and €1.50 with every €20 spent.
The four Burger King® restaurants in Malta are operated by Food Chain (Holdings) Limited, a subsidiary company of The Farsons Group of Companies, and Burger King® franchisee. These restaurants are situated in Sliema, Valletta, Paceville, and now also at MIA.
