The Farsons Great Beer Festival kicks off today from 7.30pm onwards at Ta' Qali Park and runs until Sunday 31 July 2005. Celebrating its 25th year, the beer festival covers an increasing variety of entertainment with ample free parking available and free admission.
Over 40 bands and singers are scheduled to perform on both stages of the Festival. As usual, the line-up this year includes established singers and bands in Malta as well as young artistes. The line-up of artists is as follows:

Today, the festival is kicking off with a re-enactment by the In Guardia Parade at 8.15pm. Every night the Razzett tal-Hbiberija is holding a lottery with the aim to raise funds for its centre. Tickets for the lottery will be available from their stand.
Every Night there will be live links on Bay Radio from the Rock Stage @ World Beers Area which is also supported by Rookies.
“The Farsons Great Beer Festival is a great night out for families and friends offering an array of live entertainment and a variety of cuisines. This is complemented with a large selection of beers produced and imported by Farsons,” said Matthew Cuomo, Beer Festival Organiser.
The Farsons Great Beer Festival offers both Maltese and tourists the opportunity to sample great quality beers, including local ones such as Cisk Lager, Blue Label Smooth 'N' Creamy together with the new Hopleaf Extra Smooth ‘N’ Creamy. International beer brands include Cisk Export, Carlsberg, Skol, Budweiser, Guinness, Kilkenny, John Smith’s, Beck's and Corona.
Beer drinkers also have the opportunity of adding the official 25th Anniversary beer festival mug to their collection. This is available from all bars and is offered full of the beer of choice.
