The 25th edition of the Farsons Great Beer Festival is another spectacular summertime event this year. During the first weekend, thousands of people have flocked to the open-air festival enjoying the local and international beers as well as the stunning performances at Ta’ Qali Park.
The Festival Organiser, Mr Matthew Cuomo said: “The first evenings kicked off to a great start with many young people and families attending free music sessions by top Maltese bands and singers. The Farsons Great Beer Festival has become an event which promotes local artists to a large public.”
Once again, the Farsons Great Beer Festival is offering the official Festival mug to beer drinkers to add to their collection. “It’s great to see patrons enjoying a good pint in their official Festival mug, especially as they are only available in limited quantities, making them a unique collector’s item,” said Mr. Cuomo. The mug can be purchased from all the bars during the Festival.
Apart from the large selection of beers, visitors can enjoy a variety of cuisines from the food stalls serving Chinese, Turkish, pasta, ribs, chicken, the traditional pizza and more.
Tonight’s entertainment on the Main Stage will start at around 9.00pm with the participation of Claudette Pace with her band followed by Lynn Faure accompanied by Italian rock tenor Giuseppe Ranzani. On the Rock Stage @ World Beers Area, Indigo, in an unplugged performance, will be followed by Muzzle and Red House.
Every night there are live links on Bay Radio from the Rock Stage @ World Beers Area, which is also supported by Rookies Bar. A full programme of the performances being held on the Main Stage and the Rock Stage @ World Beers Area is available on www.farsons.com/beerfestival.
This year, Razzett tal-Hbiberija is taking the opportunity to raise funds during the festival and visitors are welcomed to participate in a daily draw to win a free flight.
The Farsons Great Beer Festival, which runs till Sunday 31 July, opens at 7.30pm daily and entrance is free. The Ta’ Qali Park offers ample free parking facilities.
The 25th edition is sponsored by Vodafone Malta Limited, Chevrolet, Pringles and Surplus & Adventure Equipment Store.
