Every year, during the summer months, all Burger King crew members are invited to join the Staff Incentive Scheme. The scheme is sponsored by Coca-Cola and runs from June to September. This year, the prizes awarded were: Burger King Valletta Restaurant (Best Overall Restaurant), Ms. Julie Mercieca (Best Overall Crew Member), and 3 runners-up from each Burger King restaurants: Ms. Tiziana Borg (Burger King, Valletta), Mr. Keith Brincat (Burger King, Paceville) and Ms. Lara Bellizzi (Burger King, Sliema).
Mr. Alex Mifsud, Operations Manager for Burger King, commented “We give utmost attention to our main asset, Human Resources. The investment in training and safety of our employees is second to none. It is ongoing, in order for us to keep giving excellent service and great food quality from our restaurants to our esteemed customers visiting us regularly.”
This year’s prizes consisted of a Boat Party to the Best Overall Restaurant, a computer bundle worth Lm700 to the Best Overall Crew Member, and Lm100 fashionwear vouchers to each runner-up, from their preferred fashion outlet.
Also attending the presentation were Ms. Nathalie Xuereb Saydon, Assistant Operations Manager – Burger King, Mr. Edward Borg, Marketing Executive – General Soft Drinks Ltd., and Mr. Marco Debono, Marketing Executive – Burger King, together with all three Restaurant Managers, Mr. Johann Gatt (Burger King, Paceville), Mr. Stephen Campbell (Burger King, Sliema) and Mr. Joe Magro (Burger King, Valletta).
