As part of its outreach programme Heritage Malta invites leading specialists, both local and foreign, in a variety of fields to give fortnightly lectures at its Head Office in Valletta. These lectures deal with a variety of subjects related to cultural heritage and are aimed at sensitising the general public to an appreciation of our heritage in general and to some of the activities which are organised regularly by Heritage Malta.
Subjects have ranged from archaeology to museum management. For the second year running these lectures, which have now established themselves in Malta's cultural calendar and which have been drawing good audiences, are being sponsored by The Farsons Foundation.
Speaking during the presentation of this year's sponsorship, Mr Bryan A Gera, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Farsons Foundation said that the lectures being organised by Heritage Malta were very much in line with the Foundation's objective of encouraging the awareness of Maltese Heritage and the Foundation felt its was its duty to support such an initiative.
More information about the lectures and other activities can be found on the Heritage Malta website at www.heritagemalta.org.
