The House of Pascal Jolivet produces Loire’s best Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé
Pascal Jolivet, Managing Director of the renowned winery in France, will be visiting Malta this week. Wands Limited, importer of the Pascal Jolivet wines, will be hosting a wine tasting event and dinner on 21st January 2006 at the InterContinental Malta to celebrate this special occasion with wine lovers in Malta.
Pascal Jolivet is a young, dynamic sauvignon specialist who started his own firm in 1982, producing Grand Vins du Val de Loire. He later founded the house of Pascal Jolivet in 1987, specialising in the wines of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé which have very quickly gained a leading position with the Michelin-starred restaurants in France and now even in Malta.
Today, with 70 acres of vineyards in the two premier appellations of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, bolstered by 50 percent purchased fruits, Pascal Jolivet produces classically styled Loire whites.
Pascal Jolivet is known for using only indigenous yeast and his wines emphasize elegance, finesse and subtlety.
The house of Pascal Jolivet produces ranges of wines, such as “Attitude” Sauvignon Blanc/Pinot Noir, Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume, “La Grand Cuvee” Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, “Exception” Sancerre Blanc and Rouge. These fine wines are regularly available at Wands Cash and Carry in Marsa.
