Mr. Roderick Chalmers

Simonds Farsons Cisk plc announced the appointment of Mr Roderick Chalmers, as a director of the Company, representing the interests of Farrugia Investments Ltd.  He succeeds in the position the late Mr Anthony Galdes.

Mr Chalmers is a Chartered Accountant by profession, specialising in the financial services sector.  Between 1972 and 1983 he practised in Malta as a partner with the offices of Coopers and Lybrand, before moving to Hong Kong in 1984.  He was a Senior Partner with Coopers and Lybrand, (later PricewaterhouseCoopers), Hong Kong between 1984 and 2000, when he retired from the firm to pursue a full time MA degree at Edinburgh University.

Since November 2004 he holds the appointment of Chairman Bank of Valletta plc.

The Farsons Board of Directors will be deriving valid benefit from Mr Chalmers’ appointment as in his role he will apply his extensive local and foreign business experience.
