The French Ambassador, His Excellency Mr Jean-Marc Rives, last week paid an official visit to the Farsons Brewery in Mriehel.
Mr Rives, who was accompanied by the Commercial Attaché, Mr Francois Dubois, was welcomed by the Farsons Group Chairman, Mr Bryan Gera and Farsons Group Chief Executive, Mr Louis A Farrugia. He was shown round the Brewery by Mr Ray Sciberras – Chief Production Officer, and by Mr Eugenio Caruana – Head Brewer.
As well as visiting the Brew House, the Beer Bottling Hall, and the award-winning Process Block, boasting state-of-the-art brewing technology, the delegation visited the PET Bottling Area where significant investment in machinery from France has been made.
Mr Rives was also informed of the Group’s Lm14 million investment in the construction of a new Brew House, a new Soft Drinks Packaging Hall and a new Distribution Centre.
“Farsons remains committed to its ongoing investment programme in order to provide Maltese and tourists with the best products. We are doing this so as to retain our longstanding leading position in those sectors in which we operate,” said Mr Farrugia.
Mr Rives also met members of the Group Executive Board in the Company’s Board Room after the tour of the Brewery.
