Australian winemaker Jacob’s Creek has recently picked up a prestigious gold medal for its Chardonnay 2006 in the 2007 edition of Le Challenge International du Vin.
With over 30 years’ experience, Le Challenge International du Vin is the biggest French international wines competition and one of the most famous wine events in the world. 30 countries are represented in this competition each year, with roughly 5,000 samples tasted at each edition.
“A gold medal for an Australian Chardonnay from a French competition is high praise indeed, although it comes as no surprise to those who know the dedication to quality that the team of wine makers and viticulturalists of Jacob’s Creek put into this wine,” said Mr Pierre Stafrace, General Manager at A. Caruana & Sons Limited.
Jacob's Creek's fresh, easy drinking style and excellent quality has been extremely popular in both Australia and around the world. More than 80% of Jacob's Creek is now enjoyed in over 60 countries around the world, making it Australia's most popular wine and Australia's Top Drop. Jacob's Creek has been the most popular brand in Australia and Australia's leading export brand for more than a decade and is widely recognised as spearheading the country's export growth.
