Food Chain (Holdings) Limited, operators of global food franchises, Burger King, Pizza Hut, KFC and T.G.I. Friday’s, is organizing a 2-day recruitment drive. This initiative is taking place at Pizza Hut in St. Julian’s on the 18th and 19th April 2008, between 9am and 5pm. During this open-day, restaurant managers will personally be welcoming anybody interested in the various career opportunities that the company is offering. “No brand whatsoever, is alive and kicking if you do not have the right staff with the right attitude to work and serve customers,” commented Ms Stefania Conte, General Manager of Food Chain (Holdings) Limited. The recruitment drive is intended to increase the number of employed staff within the company to 600 employees. The vacancies on offer include back-of-house and front-of-house crew members, delivery bikers, waiters and waitresses, chefs and bartenders.

Mr Johann Gatt, Burger King, Sliema Unit Restaurant Manager, 29 years old, explained how he enrolled with the company for a summer job and has never looked back. “It is challenging, yet very rewarding as a young unit manager to be responsible for running a restaurant profitably and within the agreed franchise set standards,” commented Mr Gatt. He has been employed with Burger King since 1995, starting off as a crew member, advancing to supervisor, shift leader, duty manager before being promoted to restaurant manager.
