J20, a great-tasting juice drink made of exotic fruit combinations, is the main sponsor of the Earth Garden Festival, a celebration of spring for all the family. The festival is being held at Ta’ Qali on Saturday, 10th and Sunday 11th May 2008, open from 2pm on both days. Other sponsors of the festival include Mirinda, Kinnie, Pepsi, Carlsberg, Cisk Export, Beck’s and Vladivar.
The Earth Garden Festival aims to transmit an environmental awareness message through performance of music and art. Through these media visitors are made aware of present and imminent risks to the world environment, highlighting the minimal individual effort required to help restore the balance. The educational messages are also directed at children who play a determining role in the world’s future.
“J20 is proud to be sponsor of a festival that heightens the public’s environmental awareness through non-conventional media. With its chilled out atmosphere and variety of events, we are sure that the festival will be successful in turning attention towards our world and the environment we live in,” said Ms Lara Micallef, Brand Executive for J20.
A hub of activity and creativity, the festival features several areas within the Open Village, with its multi-coloured displays of music performances, travelers, an ethnic market and exotic food. The Festival Grove Jamming Area partners with Chinese musicians from the Chinese Cultural Centre, whilst the Holistic Area is a source of information and discussion on the principles and practice of yoga. The Art Square presents several organizations, including MCAST with a student exhibition and the Chinese Cultural Centre with a collection of Chinese natural landscapes. The Kids Area will treat children to fun activities and animated shows. Entrance to the Open Village is free.
Each evening will also feature a music concert in the Greek Theatre produced by Sigmund Mifsud, starting at 8.30pm. Tickets for the concert are now available for sale.
