Astoria Lounge Prosecco has just been launched in Malta through Wands Limited, importer of fine wines and spirits. Astoria Lounge is a very popular drink in Italy mostly because it is a sparkling wine that evokes feelings of relaxation and meditation, making it an excellent start to an evening out.

“Bubbles in a glass are always associated with cheerful moments shared with friends and family. Starting with a glass of Astoria Lounge is a perfect way to celebrate the beginning of a nice weekend or to chill out after a day’s work,” said Ms Berenice Axisa, Wine Development Manager at Wands Limited.

In fact, Astoria Lounge is synonymous with a cool, chilled-out lifestyle in Italy.  It is drunk as an aperitif, in the classic Italian way for Prosecco, or enjoyed as a refreshing accompaniment to lunch. Some find it a perfect partner to a light summer dessert.

Prosecco is a variety of white grape grown in the Veneto region of Italy, and also gives its name to the sparkling wine made from the grape. The grape is grown in the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene wine-growing regions north of Treviso. Like other sparkling wines, Prosecco is served chilled.  Astoria Lounge has a pale straw yellow colour and a pleasant taste reminiscent of green almond.
