Final preparations for The Farsons Great Beer Festival at Ta’ Qali Park
The 28th edition of The Farsons Great Beer Festival opens its doors today at 8.00pm and will be entertaining patrons every day till Sunday, 3 August at Ta’ Qali Park. Sponsored by Vodafone Malta Limited, Malta Tourism Authority, Gasan Enterprises Limited and HSBC, the festival is guaranteed to offer a spectacular attraction for all the family. Entrance and parking are free of charge.
Tonight the programme on the Main stage will kick off with a performance by Klinsmann followed by the Big Band Brothers, while The Rock Stage, which this year is hosted by XFM, will feature the bands Cable 35, BNI and The Rifffs.
The main attraction of The Farsons Great Beer Festival is the selection of Farsons beer brands, such as the award-winning lagers, Cisk Lager and Cisk Excel, the traditional Shandy and Shandy Lager and Lime, Hopleaf and Blue Label. A great choice of international renowned beer brands include Cisk Export, Budweiser, Carlsberg, Guinness, Newcastle Brown Ale, Kilkenny, John Smith’s, Beck’s, Corona and Kronenbourg.
During the festival, patrons will also have the opportunity to taste Farsons Strong Ale, Cisk Red and Cisk Extra Strong, which are local brews produced exclusively for export. All these will be accompanied by a great variety of foods in the food court area.
This year’s festival offers over 40 performances on two separate stages featuring shows by some of the top singers and musicians in Malta. The entertainment line-up for this weekend on each stage is as follows:

Friday, 25 July: Klinsmann, Big Band Brothers
Saturday, 26 July: Elvis Live Tribute Show featuring Elvis Tenderley, Jozete plus guests

ROCK STAGE

The Greek Theatre will be the location for daily half-hour stunt shows performed by four Irish stunt bikers, members of the Irish Trialstar trial bike and bicycle team. The shows will be held daily at 9.30pm.
For the second year running, Curtain Raiser will be entertaining the children in the Kids Fantasyland. Following last year’s success, the team will be organising new games, shows, and a variety of educational activities.
Those who collect the official festival mug from year to year, can purchase this year’s mug at the festival along with special merchandise and brand offers from the souvenir shop.
