San Michel, Malta’s trusted household name in table water, is the proud sponsor of the Fed Cup 2009, being held at Marsa Sports Club from today, until Saturday, 25th April 2009.

The Fed Cup, hosted by the Malta Tennis Federation, is an International Tennis Federation event that sees countries from all over the world battling it out on the tennis court via their ladies’ national teams.

Malta is hosting the Group III Europe/Africa Group with 11 countries vying for two promotion places to Group II. Participating countries include Algeria, Armenia, Egypt, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Moldova and Norway, as well as Malta. The Maltese National Team, under the guidance of Ian Smith, is composed of Kimberly Cassar, Elaine Genovese, Steffi Sullivan and Lisa Camenzuli. Helen Asciak is Malta captain.
