The first weekend of the 29th edition of The Farsons Great Beer Festival kicked off at Ta’ Qali Park with a celebration of great beers and great music. Sponsored by Vodafone Malta Limited, Peugeot and Banif Bank, the festival runs until Sunday 2nd August.
This evening’s shows start with a bang by the young singer, Sophie on the Main Stage, followed by Red House and Cash Band. Performers on the Rock Stage, hosted by 89.7 Bay, include Falcon’s Flying Circus, BNI and The Rifffs.
“The spotlight is on Farsons’ great quality beers and its international brands,” said Ivan Filletti, Field Marketing Manager at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc. “The festival is an invitation to our patrons to sample and appreciate Malta’s local brews, such as Cisk Lager, and Farsons Classic Brews, Hopleaf and Blue Label.”
The selection of international brands includes Cisk Export, Budweiser, Carlsberg, Guinness, Kilkenny, John Smith’s, Beck's and Corona. Cisk XS and Farsons Strong Ale, which are brewed exclusively for export, are also available.
This year’s official festival mug makes a worthy addition to any beer drinker’s mug collection. It can be purchased from the Souvenir Stall or from any of the bars filled with the beer of choice. Other souvenirs and special offers are also available at the Souvenir Stall.
“The entertainment programme, comprising some 50 different acts, promises to satisfy all musical tastes throughout the 10-day beer and music celebration,” continued Mr Filletti.
