Le Conserve della Nonna, a new range of Italian tomato-based sauces, are now available in select Maltese stores. Born in 1973 in Ravarino, Modena, the range is completely home made and suitable for the whole family, meeting the needs of a market that demands and chooses only tasty and healthy products. Le Conserve della Nonna’s secret is respect for tradition, simplicity and genuine food. In fact production is made within 24 hours from picking.
The range consists of 5 different sauces: Sugo alle olive, the olives are cleverly combined with tomatoes and enhanced by the touch of fragrant herbs; Sugo all'Arrabbiata is the best known Italian sauce in the world made from tomato sauce with sweet and chilli peppers. Italians in the north just add speck to the sauce whilst those in central Italy add funghi porcini. Ragu di Carne is a classic in Italian cuisine and is prepared with pure pork meat of Italian origin together with raw ham, mixed vegetables and chilli peppers. Pomodoro all basilico is made from tomato puree with basil and Lampomodoro is a simple tomato sauce ready to use.
Conserve della Nonna sauces are available exclusively at GS supermarket outlets, Trollies Supermarket in St Paul’s Bay, Shoppers Supermarket in Mellieha, Park Towers in St Venera and St Julian’s and Tower in Sliema. A special introductory offer gives a free packet of pasta with every sauce purchased. Offer is available until stocks last.
