Simonds Farsons Cisk has successfully participated in Europe's leading specialized exhibition for beer, beverages and the catering business which was held in Rimini, Italy between 21st and 24th February 2010. The event, popularly known as Pianeta Birra, attracts some of Italy's leading operators in the beverage and catering industry and this year's participation proved to be Farsons' most high profile one yet. The event also attracts exhibitors and visitors from various other European countries particularly Germany and Britain among others.

A spokesman for Farsons indicated that during the past four years, the company's exports continued to register double digit growth notwithstanding the recession in most of its key markets including Italy. Following this year's participation in Pianeta Birra, the company has continued to build up its network of importers and distributors in Southern, Central and Northern Italy. Indeed, as a direct result of Farsons' showing at this prestigious event, it has managed to secure distribution arrangements with new customers in Northern and Central Italy. Moreover, the event has also enabled Farsons to pursue discussions with interested parties for the production of Kinnie under franchise in various countries in Europe.
