During the 64th Annual General Meeting held yesterday, Simonds Farsons Cisk plc announced the appointment of Mr Michael Farrugia as a non-executive director on the Board with immediate effect.

Mr Farrugia is an M.A. graduate in History and Italian from the University of Edinburgh and a holder of a Diploma in Journalism from the London School of Journalism. He spent a year working at the European Parliament and with the European Voice, an Economist Group Business specifically covering news and analysis of developments concerning EU affairs, prior to his employment with Simonds Farsons Cisk plc in April 2006.

Mr Michael Farrugia is currently Head of Business Support of the Farsons Group responsible for field marketing and technical support services. He has an active role in business/product innovation and growth opportunities both locally and abroad.
