As part of its strategic programme geared towards a sponsorship structure for our national teams, The Malta Football Association is pleased to announce that Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, through its flagship brand, Cisk Lager, will be the Gold sponsor of the national teams for the season/s 2012/13 and 2013/14.
Earlier this year the firm FXDD (Europe) were appointed Platinum sponsors resulting in a lucrative deal that is bound to boost the image of the national teams and the firm through commercial opportunities in various fields. Meanwhile Givova are the kit sponsors of our representative teams.
Mr Norman Aquilina, Chief Executive Officer of the Farsons Group explained that this agreement will contribute towards enhancing the image of both entities through innovative exposure, whilst playing an important role in promoting the activities of the Maltese national football team.
“It was an automatic decision to pair Malta’s best-loved sport with Malta’s best-loved beer and Simonds Farsons Cisk plc is proud to be associated with the Maltese national football teams. In fact our commitment to the sport does not stop here. We also support other activities and initiatives that aim to involve and encourage public participation in international games,” said Mr Aquilina.
Cisk Lager is joining a number of other sponsors and commercial and preferred partners in this type of sponsorship deals which will provide more of a partnership in brand communications rather than the traditional type of sports sponsorships.
In this way there should be better opportunities for more progress by our representative teams which should be manifested in various technical and material forms in the teams’ preparation programmes.
“We strongly believe,” stated MFA President Norman Darmanin Demajo “that a company of the stature and identity as Farsons Group, through their Cisk brand, will also be the ideal partner in promoting and projecting a new identity for the National Teams, and which will in the end help in developing a robust international framework and in raising our standards”.
“With the newly adopted concept, rather than a basic sponsorship deal, MFA would like to make this a Partnership in Brand Communication, whereby any exposure to either party will contribute towards enhancing the image of both entities and in promoting our National Teams, as well as creating opportunities for Fan Engagement which will in the end result in commercial opportunities for our partners” added Mr. Darmanin Demajo.
Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, as well as the Malta Football Association are pleased to sign this lucrative two year Gold Sponsorship deal and are positive that this agreement will be of great benefit for both entities.
