Renowned Maltese artist, Celia Borg Cardona, presenting her Monin bottle design to Pierre Stafrace, General Manager – FBIC and Petra Altenberger, Brand Executive for Monin
2012 saw Monin, the brand of choice for many bartenders and baristas, celebrate its 100 year anniversary.
To celebrate this memorable occasion, Monin asked all its 140 export markets to design a unique Monin bottle.
In Malta the challenge was taken up by renowned artist Celia Borg Cardona.
Celia’s art revolves around people. She is fascinated by the patterns that groups of people make as they interact. The high viewpoint is very often employed and emphasises this. The empty spaces are integral to the compositions and give psychological substance to the people who inhabit them. Her paintings, usually in oil and large in dimension, are of people as they gather in everyday life situations, in large crowds or more intimate meetings. Her work can been described as a social commentary of contemporary mores and behaviours.
Celia’s paintings are found in several private and corporate collections. Amongst these are the National Museum of Fine Arts, the European Parliament, the Embassy of the United States of America, the Vatican and the Farsons Foundation.
Monin offers an imaginative range of drinks solutions including premium syrups, liqueurs, gourmet sauces, fruit smoothies and cocktail mixes. The Monin range is imported, marketed and distributed by Farsons Beverage Imports Company Limited (FBIC), a member of The Farsons Group and is available at Farsonsdirect, Mdina Road Mriehel or online http://www.farsonsdirect.com/.
