Local iconic brand Kinnie has launched a new advertising campaign titled ‘Taste’ highlighting this unique and distinctive aspect of the beverage.
The television commercial, shot around the Maltese Islands, features several local models. The storyline centres around youths, their lifestyle and having fun in everyday moments.
The campaign, that also includes outdoor, print and digital media, is a bold and impactful reaffirmation of the brand’s presence on the Maltese market and highlights physical product colour and characteristics, as well as referencing young adult consumers.
“Despite the increasing availability of a variety of beverages, from world-leading brands to supermarket ‘own-label’ offerings, Kinnie delivers a unique and refreshing proposition that is still very much valued by consumers. It’s certainly a big brand on the market and we felt it needed a campaign with a strong and self-confident message,” commented Ms Susan Weenink, Head of Marketing and Communications at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.
The campaign was planned and designed by BPC International and video production was entrusted to Monolith Malta.

To celebrate the new campaign, Kinnie has also launched a new competition where consumers are invited to submit photos of themselves and their friends for a chance to be featured on large electronic billboards around Malta. Throughout July and August, Kinnie will be selecting the best images received and including them in its digital advertising campaign.
