Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, bottlers for Pepsi-Cola in Malta, has recently launched stunning, limited edition packaging for Pepsi-Cola featuring global superstar Beyoncé, in line with PepsiCo’s recent announcement of their global collaboration with the music icon.
Farsons is also the first bottler in the world to launch this Beyoncé limited edition 33cl can 8-pack. Being the first print run globally, this was attended and approved by Ms Maria Lowden from VCG-Kestrel, (Brand and Colour Management for PepsiCo Inc.). Printing was done by Bonnici Brothers Limited.
The new ambassador for Pepsi, Beyoncé is currently being seen worldwide in Pepsi advertising campaigns, branding material, limited edition packaging and merchandise. Pepsi has had a relationship with Beyoncé for more than a decade. She first served as a Pepsi spokesperson in 2002. Since then, she has become a global pop culture phenomenon, arguably one of the biggest pop stars in the world, winning 16 Grammy awards and selling more than 100 million albums worldwide.
The Beyoncé partnership is a leading example of how Pepsi is pioneering a new way for brands to engage with musical artists, moving from sponsor to partner. This creates a creative and commercial collaboration that serves both artist and brand.
As part of this partnership, Farsons is also launching an on-pack promotion whereby consumers can win various Beyoncé giveaways and Sony gifts. To participate, Pepsi consumers must reveal the code found under the blue tab of the limited edition cans or bottle labels. They must then visit www.pepsi.com.mt and follow the instructions to submit the code.
