Campari is supporting Allura – The Trail, a walking tour of pop-up open artists’ studios at multiple host venues across Sliema and St Julian’s on the 3rd and 4th November. The event, endorsed by the Valletta 2018 Foundation, is the first of its kind in Malta, and is a free public event giving visitors the opportunity to meet more than fifty artists at work, and to share in their creative process and discover their best-kept studio secrets.
The Trail includes digital and photographic art, sculpture, fine art, ceramic, wood and metalwork, virtual reality, film, video-game, fashion, costume and surface pattern design, printmaking, artisan crafts, designer handcrafted jewellery, illustration, graphic, architectural and product design, 3D printing and carving and various other visual art forms. Artists include professional and part-time creatives, students and school children from the Maltese and international communities. The Trail offers a choice of hands-on and spectator experiences to photograph, discuss, try or buy.
Campari was founded in Milan in 1860 by Gaspare Campari but it was Davide Campari who steered the company to pursue a more dynamic approach to marketing its product, aiming to create a sophisticated brand profile. In the early 1900s Campari worked with some of the most celebrated poster designers of the day, such as Leonetto Cappiello, Marcello Dudovich, Adolf Hohenstein, and Marcello Nizzoli. Their works feature the original Belle Époque posters, look through the revolutionary campaigns of the 1920s and culminate in the elegant designs of the 1960s.
“Campari takes pride in its advertising journey, producing posters that are works of art, so we are delighted to continue on this artistic journey to support Allura – the Trail, and this new exciting art venture in Malta,” said Claudia Attard, Campari Brand Executive at Farsons Beverage Imports Company (FBIC) Limited.
The general public is invited to visit Badass Balluta on the 3rd and 4th November where Campari ART will be the focus of the venue. Visitors will experience Campari famous works of ART through various projections that will be transforming the venue into a Campari Art gallery. For details visit the Campari Malta Facebook page.
