A newly revamped website has been launched for Cisk, brewed and packaged by Farsons Brewery. The website showcases the history and heritage not only of this iconic brand, but also that of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc – brewers and bottlers since 1928. The website also gives details of the full line-up of the Cisk portfolio, including newly-launched Cisk Pilsner.
Mr Karl Bondin, Brand Manager Beers at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, said “Cisk and the Farsons brewery are intertwined with the development of Malta’s economic and cultural landscape and this new website brings this story to the fore.”
The website encourages visitors to explore and learn more about the brand and its history, the brewing process and the ingredients used. The site also suggests food pairing ideas for each of the beers, a calendar of events and integrates the brand’s social media platforms.
With an original recipe that has remained unchanged since its launch in 1929, Cisk Lager is the recipient of several awards, including, amongst others, World’s Best Standard Lager in the World Beer Awards 2007 as well as silver medals in the International Beer Challenge 2013 and the Brussels Beer Challenge 2014.
Today, the Cisk portfolio has expanded significantly since the original Lager Beer was launched in 1929 and includes Cisk Excel, a low carbohydrate beer with half the carbs of its original counterpart but the same great taste. Cisk Export Premium Lager, mostly available outside of Malta, is also an award winning beer, having won gold at the Australian Beer Awards in 1998 and 2002 and another gold award in the European Style Lager category in the World Beer Cup also in 2002. Cisk Strong Premium Lager is a 9% alcohol content lager also available on draught in Italy. Cisk Chill, available in lemon and berry, are easy drinking fruit flavoured variants of the mother brand. The latest addition to the portfolio is Cisk Pilsner, launched earlier this year, a true Pilsner of exceptional quality and a perfect choice for the discerning beer connoisseur.
“As we look towards further expanding the Cisk brand to overseas markets, this new website tells our story and communicates our vision in the best possible way. The recent commissioning of our new beer packaging facility and the upgrading of our brands’ livery to the best of international standards indicates our determination to establish Cisk as an equally loved brand outside Maltese shores,” continued Mr Bondin. “We encourage all Cisk and beer consumers alike to visit the site at www.cisk.com.”
