Following its prestigious performance in the World Beer Awards 2017 held earlier this year, where Cisk Pilsner was voted the World’s Best Czech Style Pale Lager, Cisk Pilsner has featured on the list of 25 Best Beers in the World according to the World Beer Awards 2017 published on Spanish portal bonviveur.es.
The site, introduced as a portal by and for gastronomy lovers, aims to provide its Spanish readers with product news and restaurant guides for the bon vivant.
The World Beer Awards are described on the portal as one of the most prestigious beer competitions on the planet. In winning this honour, Cisk Pilsner, originally brewed by Farsons Brewery in the late 1940s, and relaunched just last year, beat 18 other countries including the Czech Republic itself.
“Endorsements on international media such as this continue to reinforce our conviction of the top quality and international potential of our brands,” commented Mr Michael Farrugia, Chief Business Development Officer at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.
“The World Beers Awards is only one of the honours awarded to our beers during 2017, with the list of achievements including placings at the Australian International Beer Awards, the International Beer Challenge and just recently the Brussels Beer Challenge.”
Cisk Pilsner is a premium Pilsner combining a tradition of brewing excellence and passion with the finest quality Pilsen malt and Noble hops of the Saaz variety. With an alcohol content of 5.5%, Cisk Pilsner offers the discerning beer connoisseur a remarkably crisp and well-hopped flavour with a rich white head, a delicate bitterness and a superior aroma originating from the rich essential oils present in the Noble hops.
The Cisk portfolio is headed by the award-winning Cisk Lager and includes Cisk Pilsner, Cisk Excel, Cisk Export, Cisk Strong and the Cisk Chill range. The Cisk range of beers are brewed, distributed and marketed by the Farsons Brewery.
