The Farsons Foundation recently extended its support to the Malta Memorial District Nursing Association (MMDNA) through partial sponsorship of the publication of a handbook for health care professionals working in hospitals and in the community titled Just in Case: Care and Case Management in Malta.
“Farsons has supported the MMDNA for a number of years. The Association provides an exceptional service to our local community including our employees, and we are proud of our continued collaboration,” said Mr Louis A. Farrugia, Chairman of the Farsons Group.
Ms Grace Jaccarini, Chairperson of the MMDNA commented, “This handbook is of particular interest not only to health care professionals, but also to students and the general public. This year the MMDNA celebrates its 70th anniversary and we are grateful for the tremendous support that Farsons has always given our Association.”
The non-profit MMDNA was set up in 1945 to honour all those who fought in World War II and, in the ensuing aftermath, to provide much needed professional nursing care to the Maltese community in their homes. The Association has grown and developed over the years, currently employing over 140 staff and carries out over 1,500 home visits a day, 365 days a year. MMDNA continually aims to provide a cost-effective service.
The handbook Just in Case: Care and Case Management in Malta can be obtained from the MMDNA offices in Kappara, San Gwann at the sponsored rate of €5. A copy can be reserved by emailing the Association on melitafarrugia@mmdna.com.
