Her Excellency the President of Malta, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, recently visited the new Beer Packaging facility at the Farsons Brewery. The facility, to be inaugurated next week, is a €27m investment that was announced by Simonds Farsons Cisk in February 2014.

The President was accompanied by the Chairman of the Farsons Group, Mr Louis A. Farrugia, the Group Chief Executive, Mr Norman Aquilina and members of the senior management team.

Mr Louis A. Farrugia, Chairman of the Farsons Group, stated that “Throughout its 90-year history Farsons has contributed significantly to the industrial development of the country. Through these investments Farsons has shown its determination to grow and remain a leading and relevant Maltese business.”

“Export and innovation remain our primary vision for growth and this would not be possible without the full participation and cooperation of our employees. Without doubt, our workforce has always been and always will be one of our most valued assets,” he added.

In her address after meeting with several employees, Her Excellency praised the Farsons Group for its contribution to the Maltese economy and to society and for always providing job and growth opportunities for Maltese workers.

A small reception with the management team and employee representatives followed the tour of the facility.
