KFC Gzira has reopened its doors and now boasts a fresh new look after an extensive refurbishment.
The opening was celebrated with a special visit from an impersonator of KFC’s founder Colonel Sanders who also visited Sliema to meet and greet fans. On Sunday 12th June, a KFC photo booth was set up at the restaurant where customers could enjoy taking photos with their friends, as well as take a commemorative polaroid back home with them.
“We are very proud to have taken such a leap forward with the KFC brand this year,” said Mr John Bonello Ghio, Farsons Group Head of Food Business. “Earlier this year we opened our new store and drive thru in Mosta and our next step was to refresh our Gzira outlet. We know this restaurant has a special place in our customer’s hearts, as it was one of the first KFC stores to be opened in Malta. It is now the newest looking restaurant with the very latest design from KFC.”
The restaurant design celebrates the true essence and uniqueness of KFC, with Colonel Harland Sanders and the secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices being at the core of the concept. Colonel Sanders, the founder of the brand, opened the first KFC restaurant in 1930 in Kentucky, USA and developed the secret recipe in 1940. By 1964 there were more than 600 franchised KFC outlets around the world and the first KFC restaurant opened its doors in Malta in 1996.
The design also brings to light the authenticity of the brand by emphasizing the way chicken is still freshly prepared daily by cooks in store, following the original recipe and method created by the brand’s founder.
The chicken at KFC is unique. By using genuine ingredients and freshly preparing and cooking the chicken throughout the day, our customers are sure to enjoy a flavourful meal. The aim for improving the décor at the Gzira restaurant, was to give our customers an all-round memorable experience when dining at KFC.
Delivery to this outlet’s delivery zones have also resumed.
