Santa Carolina is an integral part of Chile's wine history, with a tradition of over 140 years. It was established in 1875 by Luis Pereira, who named it after his wife Carolina Iñiguez. Across the years the quality and consistency of Santa Carolina wines have been recognized by influential opinion leaders reaping gold medals, awards, high scores and Best Buys at important international competitions and specialized publications.

The iconic wine Herencia vintage 2010 was awarded 94 points and distinguished as “Editor’s Choice” by Wine Enthusiast magazine. It was also recognized by the jury of the renowned International Wine Challenge in England, who awarded it the “Chile’s Best Carmenère” trophy.

The influential U.S. publication Wine Enthusiast distinguished Santa Carolina as New World Winery of the Year in the 2015 edition of its Wine Star Awards.
