The 35th edition of The Farsons Beer Festival kicks off on Friday, 24th July 2015 at Ta’ Qali National Park and will be offering a matchless music programme of local and international artists accompanied by the widest selection of award winning brews and a unique mix of slow and fast foods.
The Festival runs until Sunday, 2nd August 2015 and doors open at 8pm daily. The popular open air summer festival features over 70 beer draught installations across a total of 14 bars, over 30 beer and cider brands, 15 food stalls and over 45 music acts on 3 stages.
Mr Shawn Caruana, Business Manager and Beer Festival Organiser commented, “Now a fixture on Malta’s summer calendar, the Farsons Beer Festival has always been a platform for many of our local artists as well as a showcase for the Farsons beer portfolio. The 35th edition of the Festival will once again be a celebration of musical talent and local summer culture.”
“Together with a strong line-up of top local artists such as Tribali, Ira Losco, Airport Impressions, Fakawi, Red Electrick and Xtruppaw, as well as a Queen Tribute band and Pink Floyd The Wall from MRM, this year we will be hosting international bands Caravana Sun from Australia, Jalisse from Italy, the Amsterdam Klezmer Band from the Netherlands and Ram 1 & Gyamma from the UK. For the first time we are also introducing a third stage within the ‘Cosy Corner’ in the Main Area which will feature local Klezmer music – one of the oldest styles in Europe – every night, between 8 and 9pm,” continued Mr Caruana.
The Farsons Beer Festival offers an extensive selection of local and international beer styles, including the Cisk range of beers, classic ales Blue Label, Hopleaf and Farsons Strong Ale, Kilkenny Irish Cream, Guinness and John Smith’s Extra Smooth Ale, and international brands such as Carlsberg, Budweiser, Becks and Corona Extra. Also available will be a selection of beer based cocktails and specialty brews including bottle conditioned ales from St Austell’s Brewery in the UK.
The food court features a variety of food stalls from Mexican to Chinese and Turkish to Italian, as well as a mix of sweet and savoury, slow and fast foods. Kids will be entertained every night at the Greek Theatre with daily shows from Cheer Amigos between 8.30 and 9pm.
This year visitors to the Festival also have a chance of winning a Honda PCX bike with every purchase from the Farsons Brand Store. The official Festival mug will be available until stocks last.
